I bought this cookware after several months of research and trying one or two pans from this line and comparing them to other pans. I am delighted with this cookware!!! The sizes are just right for my little electric stove, are heavy enough to perform like ceramic coated cast iron, but are much lighter than cast iron, the handles feel good in my hand and stay cool, the construction is solid and made to last, they look beautiful, cook superbly at medium, energy saving, heat and clean up effortlessly. I love the fact that the non stick coating does not flake off or leech gasoline bi-products into my food and that there is recycled materials in the construction. The packaging was also great-recycled paper and soy based ink, no plastics, bubble wrap or foam. It is essential to not leave this cookware empty on a heat source, I lost one 8" pan prior to buying this set by doing that, and it turned into a very sticky pan after that. But if one follows the care instructions- avoid cooking at high heat, avoid metal utensils(I use bamboo), remove from heat as soon as you take the food out, let it cool all the way before washing and only hand wash with warm water and soap, there is no problem. I haven't put this cookware in the oven so I can't say anything about that feature. As for price, it's the best deal I found in this price range, and Amazon's price was the lowest, and with free shipping it was a steal!
One last note- BEWARE the cheaper "Greenware" line Cuisinart released after "Green Gourmet", it is cheaply made, looks awful and does not have the best features this cookware has.

Should you happen to wash these in a dishwasher, the finish on the underside washes off leaving a horrible looking rough blotchy discolored surface. I located green gourmet skillet GG22-24 on the Cuisinart website and found no warnings not to put these in a dishwasher and it states that there is no manual available. I called Cuisinart customer service and was told that they are not responsible for their website and that I shouldn't have put them in a dishwasher. It's hard to fathom coating an oven safe pan with such inferior anodizing when can't even hold up to dish-washing detergents. I consider that a manufacturing defect but apparently they don't.
The inside of the pan is another story, which has already been addressed by others.

I've been cooking with these pots for 2 months now and they are wonderful. They are very sturdy, professional quality and the even cooking is wonderful. The more eco-friendly non-stick surface is a dream!

I purchased these in December and use them every day to cook with. I love these pans. I haven't had anything stick to them. (when I cook eggs, I do spray olive oil on so they don't stick. They clean up really really nice. I also like the fact that there are no chemicals being released in my food. I would highly recommend these pans.

I've only owned my new Cuisart Greenware cookware set that I bought from Bed,Bath & Beyond for a little over a month and,although I've used all the pieces, I'm going to see if I can return the set. My frying pans are already sticking and need a wipe down with oil when I cook scrambled eggs, but my worst problem is that the set is giving off a terrible smell. I just moved to a new apartment and had lots of extra storage in my kitchen so I decided to keep the whole 5 piece set by itself in a compartment under the kitchen counter. I had used the pots gently for the first week or two as I'd never used non-stick cookware before and was feeling a bit unsure of how to use it. One day, I opened the kitchen cabinet under the countertop that I stored the pots in and was assaulted by a strong smell, something like old brussel sprouts - really nasty. At first I thought maybe it was something to do with the new kitchen cabinets and I scoured and disinfected the inside and then put the pots back in. The smell returned again so then I looked at the pots, thinking maybe I wasn't washing them sufficiently well since I'm used to just putting my cookware in the washing machine. I noticed that the 1.5 and the 2.5 pots seemed to have some kind of residue at where the waterline would have been when I had used them a couple of times to cook vegetables in. I took out all the pots and cleaned them again with soap and water,just as the directions advised, this time being extra careful to make sure that there was no residue of any sort and that all the cookware was sparkling clean. A few days later I took out the pots to check for a smell and they all smelled varying degrees of awful again. Then I thought that maybe this was some sort of gas coming from the cookware non-stick lining. I usually stored everything with their individual lids on, so I tried removing the lids and letting the pots and pans "breathe". I still have the problem. They have a faint to no smell when I first clean them but then after a couple of days the strong smell comes back. I can't continue using them as it's making me nervous about the safety of the supposedly safe, non-toxic new kind of lining. I'm going to call Bed,Bath and Beyond and also Cuisinart and see what they say and what they are willing to do regarding returning the set since I've used everything and no longer have the original packaging.
