I bought this set for $99 in March 2010 to replace my 9-year old T-fal non-stick set (the T-fal pots were still fine but the lids were falling apart). I chose the color red to match my new kitchen, and at first I was very pleased with the set. I like the glass-tempered lids, the silicone handles, and the overall look of the set. I followed Cuisinart directions to use the pots (not on high temperatures) and to clean them (non abrasive sponge, and avoid dishwasher, even if the ad says they are dishwasher safe). However, 4 months later, as I was cleaning the 2-1/2-quart covered saucepan, a piece of the black, nonstick interior came off. When I tried to boil water in it, pieces of the black material started floating around. I have had to use my old T-fal pan since. I did use the Cuisinart pan a lot, probably at least once a day for the last couple of months but did not mistreat it. I am calling Cuisinart for a replacement under the lifetime warranty. Bottom line: cute set of non-stick pots but not recommended if you plan to use it a lot.

Overall they are holding up after 3 months of use. But, the smallest pot has the non-stick coating bubbling and in some cases flaking off. These have not been abused- put in a dishwasher or abrasively scrubbed or put in the oven. I'm not sure if it can't handle the heat of the gas burner. Still, I have to stop using this one.

Spend your money on something better than this piece of junk. We started seeing scratches on our set within a month despite using only wooden spatulas and spoons. They were washed only in the dishwasher (they are supposed to be dishwasher safe) and were never touched with a brush. Tfal is sending us a new set, but since we missed the 30-day window, had to pay for shipping. Tfal's explanation - manufacturing defect or that we applied too much pressure with our wooden spatula. Whaaaat?

So I mailed in the faulty piece to T-Fal, a month later they sent me back a new one citing "manufacturing defects". I decided to check the other items in my set and they're also scratched. I'm going to have to mail them in too, hoping the "manufacturing defect" isn't a "product feature" that will manifest itself again. Their replacement processing is extremely slow and contacting them/babying my cookware is taking a lot of time.

I've been very happy with this set since I ordered it a month ago. However, I noticed scratches on the bottom of the dutch oven this morning.

We used the product as instructed (low-med heat, wooden utensils only) and washed it in the top rack of our dishwasher.

Contacting tfal customer service now, let's see what happens. I'm really hoping this was a defective piece and the problem won't happen again.

We ordered this set to add on to an existing mish mash of pots and pans we've had for years. The hope was that we could toss some of the older pans out.

Strong Points: Great coating, the food literally slides off with little effort. Inclusion of a couple tools is a nice touch (though not sure it's worth paying more for, as the tools probably retail for a dollar or two). Heating distribution is even, and so it cooks effectively.

Weak Points: Small. It's hard at times to convert 8" pot into a visual, especially when the pictures show things that look bigger. A few of the pans are suitable for children, but not big enough to cook something for a single adult.

Overall, the product appears well made, but I would go to a more expensive set with a larger selection of pots and pans if I was going to use these as my primary cooking utensils.

I chose this gift for my companies 10 year service award, I needed a new set of pans so thought it would be perfect! Received the cookware and used it for almost 3 months. I noticed that one of the pans had the teflon bubbling up on the pan. After washing it now there are patches of the non-stick coating gone! So, I thought I would just contact them, I filled out the registration card so it would be under warranty. First it took me 2 e-mails to even get a response from them. They they told me to ship it back to them, me paying the shipping of course and to enclose $7 for them to return the pan to me after they "inspected" it. They didn't say if they would send a new pan if I was getting the old pan, nothing. I'm sorry but me being the customer why am I to pay for their poor product to be returned to them and then pay to maybe have their poor product shipped back to me. No, I don't think so. I will NEVER buy ANYTHING from them again!!

When cooking is your hobby,you can not only double your cooking pleasure, you triple your eating pleasure,(most important to me) knowing your creations were slowly cooked in Cuisinart Nonstick Cookware. In our family, Patricia, my wife, prepares and finishes ( a secret code for consuming) approximately 50% of our meals. The other half is my job. Up to about 3 month ago, we cooked in our old but still good and solid stainless pots and pans. After purchasing our Cuisinart set from Amazon, we are so pleased with our new treasures, the stainless was immediately sent to the thrift store. No burned potatoes, no overcooked meats, no mushy vegetables anymore. Yes Patricia, I know,you have never burned potatoes.

Everything Amazon explained on their website was correct... this Cuisinart Cookware made cooking not only easier but also more dependable. Amazon's low price and high quality service were fast and professional. We have used Amazon's website many times before and have always received the same attention until the order arrived at our home. That's where the trouble started... I used the wrong utensil to open the box and cut a little piece of skin off my thumb.I try to stop the bleeding with our newest kitchen towel. Patricia got so upset, I was not allowed to use our new 10-piece Set Cuisinart Nonstick Cookware for a whole week.

Everything is quiet at the house again, the wound has healed, the blood stain is removed from the towel and Patricia let me use the Cuisinart Cookware again and again and again. Yes, she was so understanding, she let me cook all our meals for the next 4 weeks.

Ordered this set based on earlier reviews. For a set of cookware that lists for over $550, cuisinart should be ashamed. Right out of the package there were issues - the lid on one of the pots did not fit because the rim was not round enough, and fit very loosely on another, despite the claim of snugly fitting lids. The lid for the steaming insert is useless, since the pot that the insert goes into already has a lid! Some peole might like light pans, but these have a junky feel. I'll use them for a while, but this set is probabaly going back...

My husband and I are "shoppers". We really do our homework before purchasing anything. We had Analon cookware before. It lastest for years. We wanted to try something new and after researching many (if not all) cookware in this price range, we chose Cuisinart. We bought the 10 piece set and purchased the 12" covered killet as well. I Love It!! It cooks great (bettter than Analon) on our glass top stove. It looks really nice. Clean up is a breeze. I cook a lot and I am very pleased with this set. We "price shopped" as well. This is an incredible set of cookware for the money! I am hard on my cookware. I just stack it in the cabinet. It is handling my "abuse" quite well! I highly recommend this product. I also want to say "kudos" to Amazon. I shop a lot through them and have had to return a few items. They are so acccomodating!! Thanks for the great customer service!

"Check everything carefully - Misshapen pot and chipping" 2010-04-21

The heft and look of these pots and pans are great. We were happy to replace out cheap, flaky, old mishmash of pots and pans. But we noticed the 3qt pot was misshapen, so much so that the lid wouldn't fit. I called Cuisinart and they said if I send it in, they would look at it and try to replace it in 4-6 WEEKS. When I called Amazon, they said they would simply send another set and have me swap out and return the problem piece(s). When I got the new set from Amazon today, less than 48-HOURS later, the 3qt pot is only slightly wonky. The lid will fit, but it will I can see through the space between the lid and the pot lip. While I am sitting here pondering whether I should send everything back and move on to another brand, I see that the first set we got has noticeable small chipping on the pot lip. It was used ONCE and was hung ONCE with the other pots and pans and already has chipping. I think I am done with Cuisinart. Kudos for Amazon customer support.

Bought this set as a wedding present to myself! It came with high recommendations from my MIL, and I greatly trust her judgement. Everything so far has been good--arrived very well packed, and I chose the 14 piece set because I wanted to be sure to have a lid for everything, which I do. I thought the pasta steamer and the vegetable steamer were just an extra perk, but last night I used the pasta steamer for the first time and it leaked water all over my stove. As the water boiled, it spilled out of the gap between the steamer and where it fits into the big pot. At the end of the night I had to take off all the burners and clean underneath because I had standing water there--dangerous for an electric stove. I'm not sure yet how to fix this.

But, even though they are not dishwasher safe they are VERY easy to clean! The nonstick finish ROCKS, makes cleanup an absolute breeze and greatly cuts down on use of oil and butter. Only downside is that the handles get very hot.

Overall, a good product and I like it.

This set is simply the best deal in cookware anywhere. First off, KitchenAid is a great brand regardless. These are quality pots and pans, and the price is insane for what you get. Yeah, it's more expensive than cheaper sets, but you get far more than you pay for.

These pots practically wipe themselves clean. I don't even think about soaking these pots or putting them in the dishwasher. Just take a dish brush, and wipe the pots clean. Add a little dish soap, rise, dry, and it's like new again. Not having to fit these pots in my dishwasher frees up space for my other dishes, meaning less loads having to be washed.

My wife and I both love these pots, and we show them off to our family when they visit. You can easily spend several times more for products of equal or lesser quality. Do yourself a HUGE favor and buy these pots.

The only, and I mean ONLY, gripe I have about this set is about the handle material. The silicone is great, but the actual metal that the handles are made from is not very pleasing to the eye. It functions fine though. I have owned this set for about 4 months now. I have cooked with Emeril, Caphalon, Analon, and other similar brands. Overall, these have been my favorite. Follow the manufacturers care instructions that come with it, and these should last for years to come. Also, I highly recommend "Pyrex" silicon coated cooking utensils for use with this cookware.

Love this set and am so happy with the lids and the overall quality. I was hoping that the pots were just a bit heavier gauged but I guess I can't have everything. I am storing them with a paper towel between each pan so my chance of scratching them will be nil and have gotten rid of all my metal cooking utensils. I just don't see the need.

For a guy on his own this is the perfect cookware. Easy to clean and cooks things the way they should be cooked. Heat seems to be evenly distributed. I believe the fit of the also quickens the boiling in the pots. Rivets are sturdy so these pots and pans should last a long time.

My husband and I just moved and decided we needed to upgrade our pot and pan set. We had bought our previous set at a local retailer for under 30 bucks for the set, needless to say we got what we paid for. My husband wanted a set that didn't stick and something that didn't burn under where the fire hits it and these are all that and more! Nothing sticks and it washes very easily. They aren't too light or too heavy and you can tell from just looking at them that they are good quality. I've never paid so much for a pot and pan set before but it definitely was worth the money! We definitely recommend!

almost two years ago i bought several pieces of anolon's hard anodized non stick cookware. i also bought one piece of a calphalon (spelling?) pan w glass top, which was being promoted at bb and b as the best cookware. well, everything stuck to the calphalon pan. my anolon pans have lasted, so recently i returned the calphalon pan and bought more analon pots and pans. (i did not buy a complete set; i don't have the room). these products are not promoted in the stores, yet are excellent.

My dad was badly in need of cookware--as he still owned the pots that I remember him having back when I was in preschool--, so I purchased a set for his birthday. Based on the overly positive feedback he gave (over the phone since we're on opposite sides of the states), I eventually purchased a set for myself (when I moved into my new apartment) and my mother (Mother's Day). They weren't what I expected, but I kept them anyway. They're actually not bad, but I noticed a little unevenness in the pots (upon receipt), and cracking in the nonstick layer (soon after), which isn't peeling by the way.

I've only had them for a little over three months. I followed the seasoning instructions, I only use plastic or silicon stirrers (actually the silicon spatulas), I hand-wash everything (wipe these), so I find the cracks strange. Also note: My dog is the only other being in my apartment, so unless she's functional like Duke--the Bush's Baked Beans dog--, I can assure you she hasn't been using these pots to have caused the minor problems.

These won't last as long as the pots my father kept for so many years. I'm expecting about two/ three years out of these (two-three years is actually beyond optimistic).

Overall, they're okay. I rate them a solid 3.5 due to the flaws, but a 4 based on aesthetics.

Would I recommend this product? Sure, if you're like me, paying tuition and trying to save money. I'd even recommend these to anyone working with a budget...just don't expect perfection.

I bought this set from Amazon two years ago when I bought my first house. I was just looking for a single cheap pan when I realized the deep discounts offered on entire "prior year" sets of quality cookware. Relatively speaking, this set may be the finest quality item I own. The pieces that are included in this set are all I have ever needed, and are absolutely the perfect combination of items. Clean up is a breeze, with a bit of extra attention around the handle rivets. The surface has endured, being absolutely non-stick. You don't have to use butter and oil for cooking, although where's the fun in that? Wholeheartedly recommended.

I received this cookware as a wedding shower gift, and I LOVE IT! It cooks so nice and feels great when you are using it, like you are using something professional.

Make sure you read the directions so that this lasts for you - Do not stick this in the dishwasher, and take care of it! I can see this lasting me for quite a VERY long time!
