You betcha it can! I HATED the thought of spending hundreds and hundreds of dollars on cookware - especially when I am not a huge cook. In fact, my current cookware is from ... err ... 1979 (and boy does it show it).
A few months back I finally had to break down and buy a large part to make spaghetti. Paid close to $40 for that pot alone! Wish I had known about this set first because this is a far better deal for the same quality - if not better.
I haven't used it much - again because I'm not a big cook. But the pieces I have used are great. Love the fact that there are clear lids. (Old pots/pans had solid lids and I hated them.)
I'm a huge bargain shopper and I think this is one of the best deals around. Plus, it's making me want to cook more. (Better check my smoke alarms!)

This is a very nicely made cookware set for the price. They are solid but not too heavy. The non stick is great for low fat cooking and easy clean up. The pots cook evenly. I like the handles. The silicon cover on the handles of the pans prevents burns and slipping. The height of the handles on the pots makes them easier to grip and to use. It does however, require more space for storage. Its a great starter set. After initially trying them, I gave this set to my sons for their new apartment. They enjoy cooking and have made great use of them.

This 10-piece pots and pans set is by far the nicest set of cookware I've ever owned. Each of the handles is cushioned; each lid stands up on the edge of the pot. Every piece is a breeze to clean. I've used nothing but this cookware since it arrived from Amazon.

The Pyrex 10 piece cooking set contains an 18 inch skillet, one 10 inch skillet, a 1 quart saucepan with lid, a 1.5 quart saucepan with lid, a 2 quart saucepan with lid, and a 6 quart stock pot with lid.
Features: the pots and pans are heavy duty and nonstick. They can be used on gas and electric ranges as well as in a preheated oven up to 350°. They are dishwasher safe. The handles are soft grip and heat resistant. The lid handles have a notch in them so that, when removed, the lid can rest upright on the rim of the pot or pan - this helps eliminate drips leaking onto the stove or countertop. All the pots and pans have pour spouts on the side so you can easily strain or drain liquids. The pots have measurement marks inside them so you can easily add the amount of ingredients you need without having to use a measuring cup. The stick handles are designed so that you can rest a spoon (or other utensil) on top of the handle so the drips go back into the pot -eliminating another potential mess.
What I like about the Pyrex pots and pans: I love the special features, especially the measurement marks inside the pots and the spoon rest handles. The pots and pans do an excellent job of cooking and are extremely easy to clean. The slots in the sides of the pots and pans make it very easy to drain liquids - eliminating the need to use a strainer (one less thing to clean is a plus in my mind). The glass lids make it easy to check how things are progressing as you cook - no need to lift the lid and letting heat escape while you check.
What I don't like about the Pyrex pots and pans: some of them are a little too small. I prefer a bigger and deeper skillet - in fact, I kept one from my old set to use when cooking things like rice or chicken. Also, the largest stock pot is a bit small. The stock pot is 6 quarts - when cooking a full box of pasta the directions call for four to six quarts of water, which is cutting it a bit close. Also, I had a hard time getting the water to boil when I first tried to use it to cook pasta. The instructions say to use low to medium heat, only, not high. I tried that and after an hour and a half the water still hadn't boiled! Now I go against the instructions and use high heat so far so good although the bottom of the pot is already starting to look scorched.
Bottom line: while there are a few things I don't like about the pots and pans, the fact that they are so easy to use and clean and the bonus features make this a nice set to own.

"I love this cookware! It has some really nice features. The silicone covered handles are very nice, but the fact that they are flat and you can rest your spoon on them is great. No more drips and spills. The pans are really nice sizes and the measuring marks inside are very helpful.
"I have had many pans with pour spouts, but it is less common to have them on both sides of all the pans, I really like that and it is nice to be able to drain things without getting out the collander. These pans also have a feature in which the lid of the pan can be hooked onto the side so you don't have to find a place to put the hot lid and it doesn't drip. I can think of times when this would be useful, but it hasn't been something I have used at this point.
"I do really like the design of the handles on the lids though. They are long and flat with one end open so you are not picking up the lid with your fingertips, but sliding your hand into the handle which is also covered with silcone on the bottom side."
