While this product wasn't as good as my ex's near top of the line "all clad" cookware set, it's pretty darn close. The riveted handles keep cool, the teflon stands up to metal utensils, and cooks very evenly. Cleanup is a snap even if they sit over night. Just soak the dried food in water for a few minutes and a soft sponge wipes it all away. I am very happy with the cookware.

The lids don't fit well on any of the pots. Steam escapes around them and they rattle so much that the nonstick surface scratched off within one or two uses on all of the pots around the rim where the metal edge of the lids should have sat neatly! I am not even sure the pots are safe to use anymore! I wish I could afford a new set of cookware from a different company which makes pieces which actually fit together!
Also, the steamer insert has to be FORCED into the pot it is designed to go in! To get it back out, I have to call in a friend to hold the pot while I hold the insert with two hands and yank! This is the worst pot set I have ever owned! I am extremely disappointed and will never buy from Cuisinart again!

I was researching cookware and settled on this set, both for the size of the pieces, and the price. I *actually* bought them from Bed, Bath, and Beyond (sorry Amazon!) on special order with a 20% off coupon (and when they told me I'd have to pay $16 shipping, I was ready to walk away, so they gave it to me for free!)I've been using the set for 7 months now, and I'm very happy. The nonstick coating is great, although it has what I like to call "scuff marks" on the 2 pans I use the most(the finish is not as shiny as it was when it first arrived, but the coating is still perfect and nothing sticks to it). I would have given the set 5 stars, but there are a few things that are minor annoyances:
1- I wish the big saute pan were just a tad bigger (5 quart instead of 4) and just a bit wider to allow more surface area for the food. 2-I hate the pasta insert, but that's not specific just to this set-I find pasta inserts in general to be a waste of time because it takes the water longer to boil, and I'd rather use a regular strainer and avoid splashing boiling water all over the stove if I don't remove the insert slowly enough.
3-DEFINITELY regard the instructions and don't use the pans on extremely high heat. The 2 pans I use the most have some round brownish...I guess burn marks on the bottoms of the pans (though they work just fine).
4-If you don't use butter for things like eggs or pancakes, the food comes out with an odd texture.
5-The pans take a little longer to heat up than cheap pans do, but once they're hot, they're great-just give yourself an extra 30 seconds to let the pan warm up so whatever you're cooking doesn't sit there in cold oil for the next minute.
6-I never find that I need to use the lids for the 2 smaller saute pans, so they're a waste. They sit in my cabinet, getting in the way.
I do dry the interior of the pans after I wash them, and I'd buy a similar set again when these finally wear out (hopefully not for a few years!)

Ordered this set based on earlier reviews. For a set of cookware that lists for over $550, cuisinart should be ashamed. Right out of the package there were issues - the lid on one of the pots did not fit because the rim was not round enough, and fit very loosely on another, despite the claim of snugly fitting lids. The lid for the steaming insert is useless, since the pot that the insert goes into already has a lid! Some peole might like light pans, but these have a junky feel. I'll use them for a while, but this set is probabaly going back...

Cuisinart Chef's Classic Stainless-Steel 10-Piece Cookware Set
My husband and I are "shoppers". We really do our homework before purchasing anything. We had Analon cookware before. It lastest for years. We wanted to try something new and after researching many (if not all) cookware in this price range, we chose Cuisinart. We bought the 10 piece set and purchased the 12" covered killet as well. I Love It!! It cooks great (bettter than Analon) on our glass top stove. It looks really nice. Clean up is a breeze. I cook a lot and I am very pleased with this set. We "price shopped" as well. This is an incredible set of cookware for the money! I am hard on my cookware. I just stack it in the cabinet. It is handling my "abuse" quite well! I highly recommend this product. I also want to say "kudos" to Amazon. I shop a lot through them and have had to return a few items. They are so acccomodating!! Thanks for the great customer service!
