I received this set as a mother's day gift for May 2010. It is now August 2010 and the outside of the pans are beginning to chip. I am very careful with washing and drying them. I like the idea of safer cooking for your family by using the Earth Pans, which is why I am giving it 3 stars.

I have been wanting to purchase new pots and pans for sometime now, but didn't know what kind to get. One day I saw a very favourable review from Consumer Reports on the Earth Pans and decided to try them. I have been very pleased. I am washing them by hand, rather than in the dishwasher, but it's no big deal because they clean up so easily. If I had to say anything negative, it would be against the shape of the 1 & 2 qt sauce pans. They are tall and narrow and I would prefer them to be shorter and wider as it would be easier to stir things in them. I am now thinking of purchasing a set as a gift.

After only six months of use these pans have become useless. The non-stick not only now sticks to everything and everything, but even if I coat the pan with Pam before use, I still have a stuck on mess when I am done. And no, before anyone even goes there, they were never overheated, left on a burner with nothing in them, cleaned with abrasives, or mis-handled in any way shape or form. They just stink!
