This cookware set is an exceptional value, including all of the pans needed to equip your kitchen with the most used cooking pieces. As the set contains only basic pieces, you'll really use each and every pan. It includes saucepans for whisking a homemade sauce or cooking your morning oatmeal, a big stockpot for soups, stews or boiling pasta, and skillets (probably the most used pan in any kitchen) that will help you turn out perfect crepes or a simple grilled cheese sandwich. The set also includes a sauté pan, a wide, straight-sided pan that can perform many of the functions of a skillet but features deep sides for extra capacity, perfect for one dish meals. Start your dish in this pan by sautéing onions and browning meat, then add your liquid and other ingredients into the same pan to finish on the stovetop or in the oven.

"never thought cookware would work so well" 2010-07-18
By Samuel H. Glaser
For a guy on his own this is the perfect cookware. Easy to clean and cooks things the way they should be cooked. Heat seems to be evenly distributed. I believe the fit of the also quickens the boiling in the pots. Rivets are sturdy so these pots and pans should last a long time.

"Love these pots and pans!" 2010-07-12
By Mrs. Isis
My husband and I just moved and decided we needed to upgrade our pot and pan set. We had bought our previous set at a local retailer for under 30 bucks for the set, needless to say we got what we paid for. My husband wanted a set that didn't stick and something that didn't burn under where the fire hits it and these are all that and more! Nothing sticks and it washes very easily. They aren't too light or too heavy and you can tell from just looking at them that they are good quality. I've never paid so much for a pot and pan set before but it definitely was worth the money! We definitely recommend!

Very easy to wash. Not as thick as I thought they would be, but am still satisfied. Does not require a lot of cooking spray. Overall I enjoy this product.

"KitchenAid Gourmet Essentials 10-Piece" 2010-05-10
By Erica Christine (Richmond, VA)
I just recently moved and wanted new pots and pans to bring along with me. I basically let Amazon customers do my research for me, I think I read the reviews on every line of 10 and 12 piece cookware sets, I finally settled on this set and it's been great, the handles are wonderful, they do NOT get hot at all which is so nice, they are heavy pans but not so heavy I feel nervous using them when trying to pour something out of them. A great choice!

"Good value and durable" 2010-05-07
By BBQ Bry (Indianapolis, IN)
I've owned this set for three years, and love the quality and durability. They heat evenly, and the nonstick surface is excellent. If you buy this set, DO NOT put any items in the dishwasher (including the lids); the detergent and environment is simply too harsh for them. I have always hand washed mine, and all the pieces still look brand new. This is a great value, and should last for a long time if taken care of.

"Possibly the nicest thing I own" 2010-07-15
By greynine (Portland Maine)
I bought this set from Amazon two years ago when I bought my first house. I was just looking for a single cheap pan when I realized the deep discounts offered on entire "prior year" sets of quality cookware. Relatively speaking, this set may be the finest quality item I own. The pieces that are included in this set are all I have ever needed, and are absolutely the perfect combination of items. Clean up is a breeze, with a bit of extra attention around the handle rivets. The surface has endured, being absolutely non-stick. You don't have to use butter and oil for cooking, although where's the fun in that? Wholeheartedly recommended.

I received this cookware as a wedding shower gift, and I LOVE IT! It cooks so nice and feels great when you are using it, like you are using something professional.

Make sure you read the directions so that this lasts for you - Do not stick this in the dishwasher, and take care of it! I can see this lasting me for quite a VERY long time!

These pans are excellent cookware, look great, and are extremely durable. The one down side is that they are heavy. I definately recommend them, though.

"Perfectly pleased" 2010-03-15
By M. E. Boldt (Arcade, NY United States)
I purchased this set a little over two years ago for my wife and she has been completely thrilled. The price is exceptional for a set of this quality. Up until we bought these, we had been getting by with the remnants of a Farberware set received as a gift more than 20 years ago, plus some odds and ends. My wife didn't realize what she had been missing! She uses one or more of these pans every day, always is careful to hand wash them, and the nonstick surfaces still look like new.

The only unfortunate thing is we (apparently) can't buy additional or replacement pieces that exactly match (the 2 qt saucepan got dropped on the stone tile floor in our kitchen and has a slightly bent edge). Otherwise, no complaints ... only high recommendations.

"great pots" 2010-07-20
By L. Cigahn
I love the new pans I received. The glass lids with vents are perfect to check on how everthing is cooking. The handles are so easy to grip and the handles on the pans are comfortable to lift when the pot is heavy. They are a breeze to clean, just nothing sticks to them. They are all perfect sizes for every day cooking. I can't find anything wrong with them and I am sure they will last for many years. The quality is exceptional.

"Horrible company doesnt back products!" 2010-06-18
By Shari Jabbar
T-Fal customer service is a joke. They do not back their products. Their pans scrated up my new glasstop stove. They refuse to do anything, the people there are rude and don't even want to talk to you. Buy another brand! Would not ever buy or reccommend T-Fal to anyone.

"Survived the first year in a guy's college dorm room" 2009-07-14
By B. Knisely
let's face it, men aren't exactly the best when it comes to taking care of their pots and pans. with a dorm room of 4 guys (1 of whom had never cooked a day in his life), I had low expectations that these pans would see the year out. With that said, I am pleased to say that these pans withstood the ultimate test! The Teflon coating never scratched off, and they still work great. The stove top that our college provides is not the best in the world, yet we were still able to cook to the best of our ability, as these pans allowed for more controlled cooking, with their thick aluminum core (both on the bottom and the walls). No hot-spots either!!! we were dragging our feet with the thin pans that our parents got us (cheap/throw away college pans), which literally got thrown away after we upgraded to these!

"Good cookware for the price" 2009-02-09
By Y. Chi (CA USA)
We purchased this cookware set a year ago during one of the specials. As noted in the title, the cookware set offers good value vs quality. The nonstick coating offers easy cleanup. Use warm soapy water and a sponge, one wipe and its done. We've had ours for several months and it still looks like new. The aluminum coating on the bottom will oxidize somewhat depending on the heat source, but with some scrubbing, it can be cleaned.

As one of the other reviewer said, the handle sometimes come loose. Use a dab of Loctite on the screw and the problem goes away.

We've purchased several sets since for various family members as gifts and it seems the build quality is consistent (which is good). The shipping and packaging is not so good, however. We've had lids that come with big dents on the side and deep scratches in both skillets. The exchange process with Amazon is fairly effortless, but does require a trip to the post office.

"All lids were damaged." 2009-01-28

Terrible, was like somebody hit each lid with a hammer and then packaged them. Was not from shipping either. Ended up getting them elsewhere for cheaper price and extra piece.

"Quality cookware" 2008-12-08
By Stephen (Southern CA)
Excellent Quality, even heating, cookware. The non-stick coating is on the inside and outside of the pans which makes clean-up much easier. The only negative is that 2 of the pots have small half loop handles which get hot when cooking. The manufacturer include a pair of task specific pot holders to pick up the pans. I don't mind the lack of a full size handle for storage reasons but my wife seems to forget and has burned her hands picking up the pots.

"greatest pots" 2008-11-26
By Charles (Maryland)
We ended up buying 3 sets of these because of a great deal on amazon. I'm glad we did. One for us and 2 for gifts. These pots are easy to clean, things just wipe out with a sponge, even after days of sitting, like after cooking tacos, or browning meat. Thee first time i used the large skillet i had a problem. I was making pancakes and had trouble flipping them over, there was no friction. My spatula kept pushing them around in the pan. It took a few minutes to adjust. I've never seen that happen with a pan before. These are well worth the money. I would buy them again.
