"all-clad is wonderful stuff" 2009-09-05
By W. Cowley (Eastern Washington, USA)
I already owned a couple pieces of all-clad but had moved to a gas cooktop and wanted some smaller pieces. This set actually worked out great - i got the small pans - a nicely sized non-stick frying pan.. and another all clad dutch oven which we use all the time.

The pans are heavy and well made - they hold heat well - but not _too_ well .. as in I didn't burn my bechamel sauce in the small pan.

definitely a case of you get what you pay for in most cookware.

love them.

"Best cookware set I have ever owned!" 2009-08-03
By Mr. Goodbar (Virginia Beach, VA USA)
The All-clad Stainless cookware set is the best cookware set ever. I have only had my set for about 3 months and the way the aluminum core retains heat and evenly distributes it throughout the pots and pans has actually made my meals come out so much better. I was actually able to fry 4 eggs over easy is the same pan and they all cook evenly and were done at the same time. My old pan was always hotter on one side so the eggs were all done and ready at different times. Not good when you have family or friends to feed and you have to pick who gets to eat first.

If you are thinking about going to All-Clad stop thinking and do it. I was hesitant becasue of the price and a few negative reviews that I read but most the negative reviews were because the people were not cooking properly and they were upset because they ruined a very expensive piece of cookware which I understand but they would have ruined any cookware they were using doing the same thing. Pre-heating your pan before you put the food in it is very important. Also knowing your stove and what cooking on medium heat means also helps. The other complaint was about discoloration. I have made salsa which was very acidic, had it sitting it the pan for hours while I was canning it. I have also made a lot of salty meals. No dicoloration here.

"Why'd I wait so long" 2009-04-14
By D. Nordstrom
I wish I would have purchased these pans before purchasing our new glass top range. My wife would have liked the range immediately if she had these pans. Our old set was stainless steel but thin and not magnetic. Although the old pans had copper it is only in the bottoms. Also, there are little imperfections on the bottom of the cheaper pans that marred the glass top, seemingly permanently. The All-Clad pans heat faster and at a lower setting. More than that the low boil bubbles form a perfect ring off the bottom of the pan--the old pans only produced bubbles on one side of the pan until it was a rolling boil. We couldn't be happier. They even clean up well, if you soak the baked on stuff for a while first. The long handles do require a bit more space and some strategic planning for storing.

"Amazing, but watch out, it's addicting!" 2006-02-14
By Working Wife MD (Cleveland, OH)
In light of recurring news articles discussing the carcinogenic potential of Teflon, my husband and I decided to replace our current cookware. The set we had was in good shape minus a few scratches here and there. If you pay attention, however, these "minor scratches" honestly translate to a metallic aftertaste in the food, especially with boiled foods.

Anyway, after a long and hard discussion, we decided to purchase this set, specifically with the nonstick pan, since we'd be doing a lot of pan-frying. I have absolutely no complaints about this cookware. It is beautiful, sturdy, elegant, and is truly the way to go for healthy, gourmet cooking. It is expensive, but as other reviews have stated, it lasts the long haul.

The only thing is, now that we have the starter set, I've been eyeing other pieces to add to my collection. It's hard to resist. I am addicted to All-Clad!!!

"Really loving this cookware!" 2010-04-02
By C. A. Struck (MI USA)
I've had these pans for about a month, and so far, I'm loving them! They are heavy duty, something you don't have to treat with kid gloves. You do have to hand wash them and take care of them, but if you're making such an investment, wouldn't you want to anyway? I am very pleased thus far!

"Love this cookware!" 2010-02-03
By L. Lackey
I previously had owned a set of Calpholon cookware for several years. However, it began to loose its nonstick surface on a couple of pieces, so I researched Consumer Reports Magazine for a suitable replacement set. Although I did like the Calpholon from the past, I decided to try the Anolon Advanced Nonstick set because it was rated so highly by Consumer Reports. I really do love this cookware and am so glad I decided on this set. Yes, you do need to wash by hand but I had been used to that before with the Calpholon. ( I am convinced that that had helped me to be able to use the Calpholon for as long as I had.) But, the self-stick surface of the Anolon is really something; you barely have to touch the surface to clean the remains of food. Almost everything just rinses away with soap and water.

The only con is that I wish that the 10 piece set would have included a 1 quart pan rather than a 1 1/2 quart pan. But that isn't much of a complaint. Everything else about the set is great!

"Great Cookware set" 2009-12-09
By Mary L. Ehrhardt (La)
I was about to give up on non stick until I took a chance on this set. I absolutely love this cookware. It is truly no stick, and with proper care, should last a lifetime. I have used the saute and the dutch oven in my oven several times, and it is still like the day I bought it.

Some non stick cookware gets sticky over time, and I hated that. This has not done that even owning it for 2 years now. The only piece I don't like is the extra that was included as a freebie when I bought this, but wasn't a part of this set. It was a saute with two helper handles (no long handle), and was much thinner than the rest of the pieces. That piece does not cook evenly, but I still use it as it's a good size and I like that there is not a long handle.

I sometimes wish I could put this in the dishwasher, but I know it won't be a good idea. However, it's so easy to clean, it's really not an issue.

"Excellent Purchase" 2009-11-28
By C. Mackey (Arkansas)
I purchased this cookware set about six weeks ago. We cook Sunday dinner for from 8-12 family members every week and the size of the large saute pan and stew pot have come in handy. I paid a few dollars more than the currently listed price, but it was definitely worth every penny......No sticking, easy clean-up, even cooking,.... best cookware I have ever used.

I have had and used the set for several months now, really like them, they seem to cook hotter than other pots and pans I've used, it took some getting use to. I would recommended these for anyone who is wanting a great set of cookware.

"Cute, but not practical.." 2009-11-11
By Felic
I bought this set to supplement a Cook for the Cure KitchenAid piece that I already had. And sadly, there is no comparison. They are a pretty shade of pink, but are not practical for regular use. The teflon is coming off in large patches in my large sauce pan. The pink enamel hasn't chipped, but it picks up every black scuff and isn't very attractive any longer. The handles are not silicon (as originally thought), but some kind of plastic which is wearing badly from regular use. I paid a fair amount of money for the set, and so plan on using them until they fall apart... but that could be any day now.

I wouldn't buy another thing from this company.

"Cheap - don't waste your money" 2008-12-10
By K. Smith (Silver Spring, MD)
These are a very pretty shade of pink but they don't hold up at all to regular use. I used the frying pan about four times and it started to peel. I kept the temperature at medium to low as you're supposed to with non-stick and only cleaned with water and a sponge. I didn't bother keeping the set with the controversy around non-stick and high temperatures. Save your money or buy the much, much better blinQ set - which I did (all stainless). It was a nice idea but poorly executed.

"Average- Smaller pans than expected" 2010-03-15
By G. Lowe
It is very attractive, but the pots are not "family size". I had to purchase an additional skillet as the 10" is not big enough to cook a family of 4 meal with out flowing over. I also notice that the handles get hot about half way up. The lids on the pots do not fit the skillets, so the skillets do not have lids.

They are easy too clean and quite durable, just not what I was expecting.

"Love that Farberware" 2009-11-03
By Tamara Thorne (California, USA)
I've owned a set of hard anodized Farberware for eight or ten years and stopped using nearly all my other pots and pans. The set was a present and as a reluctant cook, I wasn't too pleased. . . Until I tried using the new equipment.

Holy spaghetti, Batman, who knew you could boil water for pasta so easily? Or have sweet, even heating in the pans. I don't know why it works, but I don't really care because it does.

I'm extremely hard on the pots and pans too, scraping with metal, letting them 'age' a few days in the dishwasher before turning the water on, and so forth. Sure, there are some small scratches, but anything that can stand up to my abuse and perform so well is worth a shot.
