I have been extremely pleased with this set of cookware! It heats evenly, cleans up exceptionally well, (inside and out), and they look great. Only minor negative comments, which aren't really so much "negatives", but more like "things to know":

The heat-proof grips on the pot lid are kind of small. If you aren't careful, it's easy to burn yourself on the metal part of the handle.

The instructions say to never use non-stick spray; I have found that it's almost impossible to cook eggs without them sticking. I try not to add unnecessary fat so didn't want to use oil or butter. I've finally broken down and used cooking spray and it hasn't caused any problems. (instructions warned that a residue would build up)

I agree with another reviewer that the sizes of the pots are a bit small and odd. The smallest one is really too small for just about everything. (it's too small to heat up canned soup!) There's a big gap between the 3 quart pot and the big stock pot (I think it's an 8 quart). However, Amazon has a 4.5 quart stockpot that matches this set, and I think that will fill in the gap nicely.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the large, covered skillet. I've not seen a piece like this in most "sets" -- it's a great piece to have.

For the money, you simply can't beat this set. I would give 5 stars except for the odd sizes of the pots, and perhaps the fact that I've burned my hand on the lid handle more than once!

We purchased this set as a Christmas gift for our daughter and her family. When she opened the gift we were all very pleased with the appearance of the cookware as well as the weight of the pans. The cookware has been used on a daily basis since Chritmas and is performing well. No scorched or burned foods such as you might get from using pans without a heavy bottom. The fact they they should not be put in the dishwasher is not an issue because these pans clean up so easily. It is nice to have attractive cookware that can go directly from stove or oven to the table. I would not hesitate to make this purchase again. What a wonderful wedding gift it would make.

I just received his set about a week ago. Not a long time to test it just yet but giving my review on the quality thus far. But first, let me say I ordered this set through Amazon on a Friday afternoon and received it Saturday morning! I was floored at how quickly it arrived...and with free shipping! Ok, so for the set. I am no regular cook but want to start so I did weeks and weeks of research before settling on this set. I wanted a set that had 12 pieces, clear lids and the covered handles and that could go in the over. I researched between stainless or hard anodized and it seemed the hard anodized was even stronger than stainless yet had the non-stick benefit. I opened the box and was leary of what the pans might feel like in my hand as I had never seen these in person. This is a super nice heavy set of cookware! I feel like a gourmet chef using them! They are very substantial and the hard anodized surface is all one piece inside, out, and bottom. Very quality stuff! I have only cooked with them once so far and was so impressed with the clean-up. Very easy, even easier than my old non-stick set. I highly recommend this set to the beginning or very experienced cooks!

I previously had owned a set of Calpholon cookware for several years. However, it began to loose its nonstick surface on a couple of pieces, so I researched Consumer Reports Magazine for a suitable replacement set. Although I did like the Calpholon from the past, I decided to try the Anolon Advanced Nonstick set because it was rated so highly by Consumer Reports. I really do love this cookware and am so glad I decided on this set. Yes, you do need to wash by hand but I had been used to that before with the Calpholon. ( I am convinced that that had helped me to be able to use the Calpholon for as long as I had.) But, the self-stick surface of the Anolon is really something; you barely have to touch the surface to clean the remains of food. Almost everything just rinses away with soap and water.

The only con is that I wish that the 10 piece set would have included a 1 quart pan rather than a 1 1/2 quart pan. But that isn't much of a complaint. Everything else about the set is great!

I was about to give up on non stick until I took a chance on this set. I absolutely love this cookware. It is truly no stick, and with proper care, should last a lifetime. I have used the saute and the dutch oven in my oven several times, and it is still like the day I bought it.

Some non stick cookware gets sticky over time, and I hated that. This has not done that even owning it for 2 years now. The only piece I don't like is the extra that was included as a freebie when I bought this, but wasn't a part of this set. It was a saute with two helper handles (no long handle), and was much thinner than the rest of the pieces. That piece does not cook evenly, but I still use it as it's a good size and I like that there is not a long handle.

I sometimes wish I could put this in the dishwasher, but I know it won't be a good idea. However, it's so easy to clean, it's really not an issue.

We received a set similar to this for our wedding over 11 years ago. About 8 or 9 years later, we noticed that the bottom was flaking on the large saute pan. When I looked at the website, I noticed that in the care instructions it advised not to use non-stick cooking spray (which we had used for one specific recipe). This specific instruction was not included in our original care information. I contacted the company with this issue, as the cookware comes with a 10 year warranty, and they asked us to send back the pan for inspection. Not long afterward (a week or so?) they sent us a brand new saute from this set as a replacement (as I said, our set was purchased years before and had been discontinued). Their responses were always efficient. The cookware is wonderful as well - easy to clean, cooks well - anyone who has cooked at my house and used this cookware has complimented me on it. The pieces that are now over 11 years old have held up quite well. And in a day when many large companies seem to be skimping in the customer service area, it's good to know that Analon stands behind their product and is looking out for their customers. Well worth the investment.

"Cannot Recommend At All" 2009-12-08

I bought this set (in red) in September 2009 mainly because it is listed as "Cookware is dishwasher safe for convenient cleaning" and it had all the pieces I needed.

Well, here it is December 2009- yes, only 3 months later- and I'm already looking for a replacement for this poorly made cookware. First of all, the booklet that comes with it says it is NOT DISHWASHER SAFE. Well, I'm not about to wash my cookware by hand so I still put it in the dishwasher- on the regular cycle, not the harsher Pots and Pans cycle.

The cookware is very lightweight and the bottoms aren't very flat. The result is that they heat slowly and unevenly and easily spin around on my ceramic cooktop.

But even all those reasons aren't quite enough for me to replace them so soon. No, they've got to go because the non-stick coating is already pitting and coming off. UGH! Keep in mind that I only use plastic or wooden utensils with them and, as I said, I do not use the harsher dishwasher cycles so there's no excuse for this poor quality. My old T-Fal set lasted like 11 years before the non-stick coating was worn away enough to retire them and it didn't flake off, it just wore away over that decade or so.

So, I absolutely cannot recommend this set and will not consider Cuisinart cookware in the future. In fact, I won't consider any cookware that I can't inspect in-person before buying.

I loved the color! The various items were good although a little lighter weight than I thought they'd be. I loved the nonstick surface. The problem was that the concentric circles on the bottom were rough and scratched my glass cooktop. Because the pots weren't flat, they didn't heat up as fast as the ads said they would. If I had a gas stove with grates, they would have been fine. As it was, I wasn't willing to buy a new stove so the set had to be returned.(

This product is not recommended for the dishwasher but, it is so easy to clean even if left overnight. I am convinced that any nonstick anodized cookware when put into a dishwasher eventually will began to peel. That is what happened to my old cookware, started peeling around the rims. I've had numerous cheap-o non stick sets over the years. The last set was hard anodized but not good quality. I recently got a new glass top stove and found my 10 year old set was not going to work as the bottoms are not flat anymore. I got this set on the Friday sale. What a wonderful surprise when they arrived.

These pans are good quality weight but not heavy that it makes them hard to lift. You cook on low or medium heat. I'm used to turnng stuff up on high then turning it down but the instructions said only use on low and med. So I figured stuff would take longer to cook. NOT so! In fact my meals have been done sooner. It is the first non stick set that really is non stick. You cannot use spray in it like Pam as it will ruin the non stick surface. Guess that is why all my other non stick pans always stuck.

You just cannot beat the quality and value of this set. It looks so professional and clean. I am glad it is not in the classic red. Nothing against red just that these match better to my kitchen than red does. The lids are thick good quality glass. I'm thinking finally this will be my last set of cookware. They have a 1 year full replacement no shipping cost to you but when you read on it is a lifetime warranty really. If it is not due to abuse they stand by it for as long as you own it. Like if a handle would fall off they will replace with same or equal value item. That's the kind of company I like to do business with.

Highly recommend for someone just getting started or and experienced cook. Good for a single person or small family. Large families probably need the bigger sets.

"Hot to Handle" 2010-01-28

The overall value on this set is outstanding. Non-stick on the pots is holding up well after a full year's use but the frying pan is another story. The non-stick isn't peeling off yet but it is a lot less effective than it was when it arrived. This can easily be amended by enough oil, so we cope.

My real gripe about this set is the handles on the lids. They get very hot. Enough so that they cannot be picked up by hand. I have other glass lids that use the smallest plastic insulators with great success, but with these you might as well just pick up the lid by it's edge. I have a feeling that this is the main reason for the extreme price reduction.

If you're OK with always using a pot holder I say go for it.

These pans were billed as "professional". Unfortunately, if used as a pro might use them, that is on a regular basis, the "autograph" nonstick will lose its effectiveness in less than three years. I plan on trying to take my piece back or send it back to Meyer. I will report back on the response. Its too bad, because I really liked the pan, but who knows maybe the latest "autograph" is a bit better.

The pot handles collect heat from adjacent burners and the ingredients. Perhaps because they are hollow, being rolled from thin sheet metal. The nice polished finish on the handles are slippery when there is anything on your hands or splatter from ingredients. We "live" in our kitchen and expect more from a cooking set. My family has been using this cookware for more than 3 and 1/2 years. I wish I had purchased Anolon Professional sooner.

Our cooking needs are mostly filled by this set, along with a few other Anolon items. We also have a few "regular" (not non-stick) pots and skillets-Magnalite brand- for when we want to use much higher heat. It IS pretty much a fact that all of the non-stick cookware, even the more expensive ones, can be damaged by overheating. When we want higher heat, we use the Magnalite pots and skillets. NOTE: I really like the Magnalite stuff 'cause it lasts 'forever'. But, it is much more difficult to clean. THAT is the reason we added the Anolon Professional Cookware to our kitchen.

The long handles on the Anolon really do stay cool when used on the stove top. Obviously the "D" handles on the saucepans and the large stockpot are not insulated and require caution (and a hotpad) when moving. All the glass lids are really nice. They seal very well around the top of the pans and I do like the see-through ability over solid lids. We do put the lids in the dishwasher, but not the Anolon pots and skillets.

Some other reviewers have expressed disappointment with the non-stick coating being damaged. I would bet that this is from overheating. All I can say about that is... we've used this cookware set for more than 3 and 1/2 years and the surfaces are as good as the day we bought them. I will admit that we did discard some Anolon cookware about 12 years ago that showed deterioration of the non-stick surface. These were obviously an earlier vintage than this model, and I wouldn't fight too hard with someone who suggested that we had overheated the earlier skillets. It was for that reason that I began purchasing the Magnalite.

If I were to criticize the Anolon line, it would be for a couple of small gripes. First the handles on all the glass lids are not insulated and do get hot! Of course, since the all aluminum lids of the Magnalite also did the very same thing, this wasn't really a surprise. I long ago learned to reach for a hotpad before removing a lid. My other gripe is more annoying. The rivets that join the handles to the pats and pans are NOT non-stick, making them somewhat difficult to clean. This is especially true of the skillets where the rivets are almost always coming into contact with whatever you are cooking. Generally, we cope with this by spraying the rivets liberally with a non-stick spray, like Pam.

At the price these are available from Amazon, you probably can't go wrong. A single 12-inch skillet of Calphalon from Macy's is almost as much as this whole set.

I really like this product. Here's a quick list of the pros and cons I've noticed.

Pros. They are very nicely manufactured. I like the sturdy feeling of the handles and pans. Nothing feels like it is going to break off. Some of my other brand pans do feel that way. They are extremely easy to clean and heat up very fast. They cook quick and evenly. Also, I love the color.

Cons. In the last 7 months of owning these pans, I have noticed the paint on the bottom of the pans coming off. This could just be from heavy use. Some of the non-stick surface has also been damaged. Again, could be due to heavy use. We don't use any metal cookware with them, so I'm not totally sure.

Either way, I really love them. The cons are minor and I think they are worth buying.
